Wanted: Wasted Vegetable Oil (WVO) from your turkey fryer this Holiday Season
Do you deep fry Turkeys on Thanksgiving Day or the Thanksgiving Day Weekend? Do you use vegetable oil or some other non-hydrogenated oil? Do you ever wonder what to do with this waste oil when you are done? Are you in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area?
If this is you then you need to contact me. I can pick this up for free!
It’s simple, this is what you do:
1) When you shop for oil to fry your Turkey use vegetable oil or some other equivalent oil. If you are not sure, here’s the test: What color is it? Is it golden or a white solid? If it’s golden then continue below. If it is white/solid (hydrogenated) I can’t use it,
2) When it is time to deep fry your Turkey (or whatever it is you are cooking this Holiday season) pour the oil in your fryer, but KEEP THE CONTAINER,
3) When you are done cooking, and the oil has cooled simply pour the used oil back into the container and seal it with its cap
4) Store the container in your garage or shed,
5) Email me and we’ll arrange for me to pick it up
WHY? I burn waste vegetable oil in my car as fuel. It burns clean, keeps unnecessary profits from oil companies, reduces our dependence on foreign oil and keeps our planet clean.
It’s a win win situation!
Plus, you don’t have to bother with disposing of this oil. You simply contact me, we arrange a pick-up and you leave the container on your curb, driveway or whatever we arrange. No unnecessary trips for you to the dump!
Hope to hear from you soon!
